Kylie Jenner Has The Most Unlikely Lockdown Hobby

During this never-ending lockdown, we have been occupying ourselves with good, old fashioned puzzles... And so have celebrities!

It turns out that, despite being insanely rich and famous, many celebrities have also been turning to puzzles to cure their boredom, and they have been sharing their efforts onto Instagram to prove it.

In the last few months, our use of puzzles and games has risen considerably.

While we're stuck in lockdown, we have finally grown bored of Netflix and have resorted to the more old fashioned form of entertainment.

Jigsaws and puzzles have made the come-back of the century.

As well as lowering stress, puzzles have also been proven to lift our moods. Puzzles increase our brains’ production of dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter that regulates mood and feelings of optimism. It also affects memory, concentration, and motivation.

When you’re trying to solve a puzzle, especially a jigsaw puzzle with minuscule pieces that all look the same, attention to detail is crucial. You need to train your eyes to pick out the very slight differences in color or shape that will help you put everything together.

And he caused quite the stir on Instagram when, after 4 months of working on it, he filmed himself slotting in the final piece before tearing the whole thing apart in a matter of seconds. Ouch.

Kylie Jenner has taken up puzzling during the lockdown, too.

Even billionaires need to sit back with a good, old fashioned jigsaw puzzle from time to time. The young reality star first took up puzzling when she was pregnant and, with quarantine in effect, she has admitted to returning to these past times. “Puzzles - I  did so many puzzles when I was pregnant. Puzzles [are] underrated."

Sir Patrick Stewart.

The X-Men star admitted during a recent interview that jigsaws have been his solace during the lockdown. Holding up one of his completed puzzles, the seventy-nine-year-old said, "This is one of my finished puzzles as you can see. It's actually framed because I frame them all."

Ellen DeGeneres.

The infamous TV host shared a video of herself attempting to complete a 4,000 piece puzzle, labeling herself as Ellen “Do It" DeGeneres.

Bill Gates.

Geniuses love jigsaws! The Microsoft co-founder recently revealed that jigsaws are one of his favorite past times and that he and his wife, Melinda, often buy identical sets so they can compete against each other.

Yep, when she isn't riding horses or driving her Land Rover, her majesty the Queen is kicking back with a jigsaw puzzle. The monarch is a member of the British Jigsaw Puzzle Library and is believed to borrow an array of puzzles for her winter stays at Sandringham. She’s also admitted that she prefers those without a picture on the box, as having the guide image makes it too easy.
