Have I mentioned lately how much I love Amazon? One of my favorite things to say about Amazon.com is, "if they don't have it, nobody does." And, that's no exaggeration. Amazon's inventory, by some reports, soars beyond 12 million products. If you add in Marketplace sellers, that number blows up to 350 million items. That's a lot of stuff.
But, I'm not alone. I'm guessing you're a pretty big fan of Amazon, too, or you wouldn't be here. We're in good company. Loads of people love Amazon enough to not only buy products but also to leave reviews — to the tune of some 250 million reviews and counting. Whether it's a favorite set of bedsheets, reusable (yes, reusable) paper towels, or plush bath towels, people have no problem singing the praises of their favorite Amazon finds. And, I'm going to share some of the best with you in the products that follow. Heck, they might be so good you'll want to leave a review of your own.
We hope you find these products as awesome as we do. Just an FYI: We are a participant in the Amazon affiliate program, and may receive a share of sales from links on this page. Prices on Amazon fluctuate so anything mentioned below might change as soon we publish it!
These Sheets Are The Absolute Best
A good set of sheets is worth its weight in gold. Why? Because we spend nearly half our lives in bed, that's why. This microfiber set is light to the touch and cool and — best of all — won't break the bank. One reviewer was so enamored they wrote a rhyme: "These sheets are super soft and very nice. And, honestly, you can't beat the price." I'm not stressed; I'm just impressed.
It's Time For You To Open Up
Do you often find yourself asking someone else in the house to open jars because you can't? You can eliminate someone's job by buying this under-cabinet jar opener . It'll give you an extra set of hands, if you will, and won't take up additional room in your gadget drawer (drawers?). Someone said "my best gadget ever" in the reviews, adding that someone has invented the perfect jar opener.
The Quickest Way To Clean Toilets
No one likes cleaning toilets, but it's a task that has to be done. It can be done a lot more simply, though, without the need for a toilet brush plus a watery, goopy cleaning solution. The Clorox toilet wand is one of my favorite cleaning inventions of the past ten years because everything is housed conveniently right near where you need it. This reviewer put it best: "Great reduces gross-out factor." I couldn't agree more.
Flies In The Trap
Amazon / J.Simmel
It's that time of year again when flies, gnats and other flying creatures make their way into your house. They don't seem to have any trouble getting in, but can't find their way out for anything. This
indoor bug zapper
uses a UV light to attract bugs, a fan to suck them in and sticky glue boards to trap them. One review stated, "Best medieval torture device for mosquitoes ever."
Blend It Up On The Go
When a reviewer said, "I truly love this blender!!! Used to spend $6 to $7 on smoothies," I felt that with every fiber of my being. Smoothies are great, but it's like they're pumping 24 karat gold into those things to charge the prices they are. This personal blender from Hamilton Beach will not only save you money but time. Go from unblended to blended and on the road in a matter of minutes.
Go Green With Reusable Paper Towels
Nothing says we're in 2021 like reusable paper towels and people genuinely love them. I don't know if it's because they're truly that great or because people feel like they're doing something good for the environment by using them over traditional paper towels. This reviewer said: "So I have been quite impressed with these towels. I used to go through at least 10-15 paper towels in a day. Now I'm using the same reusable one for 2-3 days!"
Spice Girls, Unite
This spice rack organizer is one of the best Amazon purchases I've ever made. Yes, it takes up some cabinet space, but spices were taking up my cabinet space anyway — at least now in an organized fashion. With room for 30 spice jars, you'll always know your coriander from your cumin. Don't trust my review? Trust this one: "I previously had a lazy Susan-type spice holder and although I knew it took up room, never replaced it. This three-tier rack is perfect!"
I spend a lot of time fighting with oven mitts in my house. First, I can't find them. Second, I either cook a lot or am abusive with my kitchen gear because it seems like I'm constantly replacing them. These oven gloves have so many great features, including a soft jersey lining and a heat- and waterproof silicone exterior. Reviewers say they live up to the test: "Taken dishes out of the oven & carried to the table, I never felt any heat through the gloves."
Hold Me Closer, Paper Towel Dispenser
If you're a traditionalist when it comes to paper towels, then you need a paper towel holder that can get the job done. I'm in love with all of OXO's products and this SimplyTear standing paper towel holder should be no exception. The thoughtful design allows you to tear off a single paper towel one-handed, a helpful feature when you've got dirty digits. One reviewer said, "... meets and exceeds my expectations in quality and function."
Make Room For TubShroom
This is a gross gadget. Wait, let me back up, this is a handy gadget that accomplishes a gross task — catching hair before it has a chance to go down your drain and cause clogs. The TubShroom has impressed more than 84,000 product reviewers on Amazon, who are saying things like, "I am one of those people who clog the shower drains with my hair. ... I've had this for about 2 months now and thought I'd really test it out by no longer brushing my hair before or during the shower. No clogs!"
Fire Up This Streaming Device
Fire TV Stick , how I loveeee youuuu! I have no shortage of gadgets and streaming devices in my house, but the Fire TV Stick is easily my favorite for the breadth of channels available and the simple user interface. (The Alexa voice remote doesn't hurt, either.) Reviewers agree on several things about this device, including its ease of use, voice recognition, and high configurability.
Drill Down On Cleaning
I keep seeing this
38-pack of drill brush attachments
and I'm not kidding — it seriously makes me want to clean all the things. The cleaning options are endless, from bathtubs to floors to upholstery and more. One reviewer said, "Best thing I've ever bought from Amazon," and, hey, I don't take those kinds of accolades lightly. Others agree it's "worth the money" and "worked great."
Refresh with Affresh
I no longer have a front-load washing machine, much for the reason you see in the picture: It stank. I mean, literally, it would start smelling bad. I eventually had to start leaving the door open. That was years before Affresh created these
washing machine tablets
(which you can also use in top-load machines, FYI). One reviewer — of more than 120,000 — gave it five stars and said it fixed her "disgusting used washer's funk."
I've discovered I can't be trusted with a paper shredder . Whenever I'm around one, I just want to shred everything I own. Don't let me discourage you from grabbing one, though, because it really is the best way to dispose of paper and credit cards safely. One reviewer posted a video review showing it shredding a stack of 15 pages of paper, a CD, and a credit card.
Think Pink (Stuff)
TikTok is all a-twitter about this miracle cleaning paste , know affectionately as "The Pink Stuff." Created with a bit of grit to ensure a great clean, this stuff can be used on virtually anything you need to put a little elbow grease behind. Like so many who've heard of this product via word of mouth, one reviewer said, "I got this after reading about it on a FB cleaning group. I got it yesterday and cleaned my sink today. I have never seen it so clean!"
Give Your Couch The Slip
No money for new furniture? No problem. These reversible microfiber slipcovers will extend the life of your sofa as you attempt to protect it for kids, dogs, and maybe husbands. Reviewers rave about this option, saying things like "does not bunch up," "stays in place" and "great fit." Another said she ordered three and this was the best of the bunch. It's also a great buy at just $29.
I've Found The Magic Bullet
If you've ever met anyone who owns a
Magic Bullet blender
, I promise you you'll know because they can. not. stop. talking. about. it. And, I guess I see their point: This set includes the blender, additional blender cups, blades, recipe book, and more, so you can chop, mix, blend, whip, and grind to your heart's content. One reviewer said they purchased it "because it's possible to get replacement cups and blades."
Get Tea On Demand With This Electric Kettle
"This kettle IS the answer," according to a review left by a purchaser and who am I to argue? I love tea, sometimes more than coffee (don't tell my coffee pot that), so I can see investing in an electric kettle in my future. This one from Mueller heats up quickly and has a built-in safety feature that reminds it to shut off 30 seconds after your water comes to a boil. Perfect for busy mornings!
You Need This Shower Caddy
If you have a shower but limited space in which to stash all your soaps, shampoos, and other potions, you need this shower caddy . This one is great because it has dedicated hooks for your razor, washcloth, or loofah and a spacious shelf that can hold up to 20 pounds worth of products. Reviewers rave about how much more space it gives them and its amazing adhesion, so it stays put.
I'm Your Biggest Fan
I'm a fan addict, O.K.? I have one on my desk, one in the bathroom, and even one that blows air between my bedsheets, but I digress... A personal table fan has so many uses, including moving air in stagnant spaces or helping to cool off a kitchen when everyone is scurrying around. One reviewer highlighted its size, saying: "The product is very lightweight and easy to move wherever you need it."
Pull The Rug Out From Under You
Nearly 35,000 people have reviewed these rugs and the results are in: They're a big hit. Made of luxury chenille, quick-drying and completely machine washable, these rugs come in every color under the sun, which can sometimes be a challenge when you're trying to match curtains or other decor. One reviewer hailed, "This one is great quality for the price."
These Spoons Are Magnetic
Whoever designed these should get an award, a big, fat award for solving so many of the problems I have with existing measuring spoons . Not only are these magnetic, which eliminates that annoying ring, but they are actually designed to fit down inside most spice jars. (I know, right?!) I believe this reviewer who said, "The most convenient and accurate measuring spoons I've ever had." Adding to cart...
A Reusable Storage Solution
Reusable storage bags seem like an idea that should have been developed decades ago, but they're really only surged in popularity over the past couple of years. This sandwich bag size from Stasher has a pinch-lock seal and eliminates single-use plastic waste. My favorite review of this product states, "Start with one or two (sandwich size is a good starter) and build your stash as you get rid of the ziplock bags in your drawers." Build your "stash," get it?
Mat About You
Name one place in your home where you spend more time standing than in your kitchen. Can't come up with anything, can you? Between washing dishes and preparing meals, we spend a lot of time on our feet in the kitchen. Give yourself some relief with these anti-fatigue, non-slip mats . They come in a matching set of two, and reviewers love them, calling them both functional and beautiful.
This Blanket Is Cool — Literally
I know, I know, the words "cooling" and "blanket" don't seem like they should go in the same sentence but hear me out. Made of cool-to-the-touch bamboo, this lightweight blanket comes in various sizes and colors. Reviewers love this blanket for its size, lightness, and "perfect silk/cotton hybrid." I love the price at less than $24 and the fact it can be used year-round in humid Florida.
These Containers Are Cereal Killers
This one goes all to all my uber-organized friends and even strangers. If you are so serious about your organizing that you'll remove cereal from its boxes and put it in these labeled plastic containers , you are my kind of people. These are perfectly proportioned to accommodate an entire box of cereal. One reviewer raved that the air-tight seal is perfect for her tiny humans who forget to reseal typical cereal bags.
Don't Throw In These Towels
There are two things you can never have too much of: Chocolate and bath towels. I'll save the chocolate talk for a later date, so let's talk about these Hammam bath towel sets . When you make your purchase, you'll get a matching bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth. Not a bad deal for less than $17. These are lightweight and soft and were designed to take less time to dry to save on energy costs.
Wage War On Bugs With This Salt Gun
Before you freak out, let me explain. This isn't a gun in the traditional sense; it's not even a gun in the non-traditional sense. This is a unique way to rid yourself of bugs, dubbed the
. Maybe my favorite review on all of Amazon is part of this product: "Don't shoot wife in foot or ask if she wants salt on her food." Other reviewers rave about how effective this bug zapper truly is.
Put Rugs In Their Place
I first found these rug grippers in a local store and, I'll admit, I bought them because I needed them right that minute. Since then, I've purchased them a few more times and always from Amazon. Think of these like the stickiest stickers you've ever encountered and they really do work well to keep rugs from moving around. One reviewer said, "They've passed the ultimate test: my 70 lb. dog doing laps across the rug without it budging."
Keep A Clean Cooktop
I'm a big fan of glass cooktops ... until you get cooked-on, caked-on goop, and then I want to throw out my entire stove. I recently discovered Weiman cooktop cleaner and I've stopped tossing stoves out my kitchen window. This kit comes with cleaner polish, a scrubber brush, and a razor scraper for that really difficult tasks. One reviewer said she'd been told the scorch marks on her stove were permanent; treatment with this product cleared it right up.
The Hose Knows
When a reviewer says, "Works great. I bought two last year for use in my vegetable garden with drip hoses," I sit up and take notice because watering these tomato plants every day is going to be the death of me. This single-outlet hose watering timer attaches to your existing hose and delivers hydration on a time schedule that you set. It has intervals from six hours to seven days and manual override in case it's, you know, raining.
Keep Your Temp In Check
I don't know how I ever cooked meat without a meat thermometer. How did I know if the chicken was done? How did I avoid overcooking steak? It's a mystery the world may never have an answer to. This easy-to-use thermometer draws comparison to the $100 Thermapen, with one reviewer saying, "As soon as I got it I wanted to test the speed and accuracy. I tried it, side by side, on some bread just coming out of the oven. They showed the same temp within a second of each other."
Let's Hang Out
In my youth, I used wire hangers and didn't realize the error of my ways. Now, I'm a full-blown adult and I've graduated to non-slip velvet hangers like this set of 30 from Amazon Basics. The slim profile takes up very little room in your closet and the velvet texture and notched shoulders keep your clothes from sliding off and making a mess. "I can't sing their praises enough --- just do yourself a favor and buy 1 or 2 packs so you can do a closet overhaul," one reviewer wrote.
Waffles In A Dash
If you don't have a Dash mini waffle maker yet, what are you doing with your life? This little cutie comes in adorable patterns, takes up virtually no cabinet space, and pops out perfect waffles, hash browns, cookies, and even biscuit pizzas in a matter of minutes. This product has more than 161,000 glowing reviews including one from a customer who said, "I had no idea what a small waffle maker could do for my life." I hear ya, girl.
Sewing is old-fashioned and we both know it, but there are times when you simply must have a sewing kit in your house. What happens if a button pops off? What if you need to take a measurement? This one is small and tidy but has plenty to see you through most any wardrobe malfunction. "Everything you need for a quick mending project," said one buyer, and I could not agree more.
Make Every Day Clean Day
I finally got on the Mrs. Meyer's cleaning bandwagon and I'm climbing my way up the ladder to No. 1 fan. The lemon verbena scent of this
has me looking for additional surfaces to clean. Interesting review: "A negative review made me buy it and I don't regret it one bit." Apparently, someone complained about the scent, which has me shook. Just try it, you won't be sorry.
Girl, Brush Your Grill
I recently upgraded my grill, and when you upgrade your grill, you have to upgrade all of your grill accessories as well. I bought this bristle-free grill brush and scraper and could not be more pleased. Apparently, I'm not alone: "Does do a great job removing debris without leaving those terrible metal pieces. I also previously used a cedar wood scraper that did a great job of not leaving pieces, but a terrible job of actually cleaning the grill. This does both."
