33 Things I've Bought On Amazon And Would Buy Again and Again

I'm Mary, a Video Acquisition Manager. That means I've made a career out of watching videos on TikTok and YouTube (so it can be done!) I live in Utah with my husband and two kids. I foster rescue pugs, have extensive Spotify playlists for karaoke, and my mother is convinced I'm having a mid-life crisis as I've started learning to play the electric guitar.

Also, I really enjoy cake with buttercream frosting and queso from Torchy's Tacos if that's relevant? I'm also a very mediocre runner! Things about me!

Anyway, I compiled a list of 33 things I've bought on Amazon and would buy a thousand times over - from things to help me get through a workday to things that make being active easier. I think you'll find some keepers on this list, too, so dive in!

We hope you find these products as awesome as we do. Just an FYI: We are a participant in the Amazon affiliate program, and may receive a share of sales from links on this page. Prices on Amazon fluctuate so anything mentioned below might change as soon we publish it!

This Punky Semi-Permanent Hair Color For Lasting Hues

via: Amazon

Punky Color Semi-Permanent Hair Color is where it's at. I've had hair of all shades over the past decade and Punky Color is consistently the best non-professional fashion color money can buy. At around $10 a pop, it's super affordable to change your color all the time! While other fashion color brands tend to fade after just a couple of washes, Punky Color actually lasts 5-20 washes. It's also conditioning and leaves my hair super soft. Here's a tip: apply the color to your dry hair, let it sit for at least ten minutes, and then wash normally with a gentle, color-safe shampoo and conditioner. Oh, and did I mention that some colors smell like grapes? Yes, please!

This Masaman Curry To Spice Things Up

via: Amazon

I can't buy anything even remotely like Masaman Curry Paste at my local grocery store, so I'm super happy I can order it from Amazon! It's a go-to staple in my kitchen because it's super easy to make and my kids love it - and I like that I don't have to leave the house in order to have a restaurant-worthy dish. This curry paste does all the work and literally makes this an 'open a couple of cans and dump into a pot' dish. Easy and delicious? SOLD.

These Laundry Bags Save My Clothes

via: Amazon

It took me many years to finally break down and buy laundry bags and I'm so glad that I did. This set of seven mesh laundry bags has saved my delicates more times than I'd like to admit. I no longer have to worry about underwire poking out and getting misshapen or the washing machine eating holes in my tights. My clothes last longer and stay in tip-top form, meaning this purchase has actually saved me money over time.

This Water Bottle Is Gigantic

via: Amazon

Ya'll. I LOVE my Simple Modern 32oz Summit water bottle with Chug lid. I bought one after researching the more expensive, 'name brand' insulated stainless steel flask bottle and I've never once regretted getting this lower-priced version. It keeps my ice water cold all day and even into the next day if I didn't manage to finish it all before going to bed (oops!) I like it so much that I actually bought myself a 22oz version for travel and an 18oz version for my daughter to use at school. I especially like the Chug lid because it's ideal for big swigs of water, yet closes with a leakproof seal for when you throw it into the bottom of your gym bag. You can also collect an assortment of colors and designs.

These Yoga Shorts Have POCKETS

via: Amazon

THESE. SHORTS. HAVE. POCKETS. On both legs! I'm a pretty steady runner and I need shorts that are comfortable and can take a serious beating. So far, these Baleaf Women's Compression Exercise Shorts have held up beautifully. They don't ride up, they don't sag, and they hold their shape mile after mile. And did I mention that they have POCKETS?

This Theracane Soothes All My Aches & Pains

via: Amazon

Everybody should have a Theracane, and I mean everybody. I first discovered this gadget a couple of years ago when I started playing the bass and developed some strain in my shoulder muscles. This little beauty gets into all of those nooks and crannies that tend to hurt in my back and really help me feel in tip-top shape. It's basically the Swiss army knife of simple massage tools and it's super effective at knocking out aches and pains.

This Powerbank Keeps Me Charged

via: Amazon

This Anker PowerCore 1000 Portable Charger was an excellent investment. I purchased it originally for traveling as it's small but packs a big punch in terms of available juice. I'd charge my phone overnight in the hotel room, pop this puppy in my work bag, and when my phone inevitably would start to die from using it for navigation and work about halfway through the day, I'd simply hook it up to the powerbank and know I could use it for probably 2-3 more days without having to find an outlet to charge my phone the traditional way. It's also just a good thing to keep in my backpack because if my phone starts to die and I'm not at home, I can charge my phone right up. It's fast, small, and powerful and I'm always glad I gave up free portable chargers that I'd pick up at conferences and traded them in for the real deal.

This Snow Tube Rocks

via: Amazon

Depending on the season, this might seem like a strange addition to the list, but hear me out. I live in a cold climate next to some mountains, which means that I inevitably take the kids sledding at least a handful of times each year. We always purchased cheap sleds from big box stores that would break well before the end of the season. One time when we were out on a particularly snowy day at the local sledding hill, I saw a family using these Bradley Commercial Snow Tubes for Adults and Kids. The grown ups were having as much fun as the children riding down the hill on these super sleek, super fast snow tubes. Heck, these tubes could handle two full-size adults at once; I'd like to see a cheap plastic sled pull that trick! I pulled out my phone and immediately ordered them. We've now used them for multiple years and they work as well as they did the day they first arrived. They are spacious, sturdy, and easy to store. An A+ investment for the snow set.

This Jewelry Hanger Is Wild

via: Amazon

Wild animal heads keep my jewelry organized with this Kikkerland Jewelry Holder Pack Rack. It's functional but it also doubles as decor and a fun conversation piece on the off chance that someone ends up in my bathroom. And it definitely beats having all of your jewelry tangled up in a drawer somewhere!

This Origami Paper For Kids And Adults

via: Amazon

Do you like Origami? Do you also like really freaking adorable designs? I originally purchased this tokidoki Origami Paper Pack for my daughter but I have to admit it was REALLY hard to give it to her. There's just something about punk yet whimsical unicorns done in tokidoki's signature style that appeals to this grown ass woman and I cannot resist. It's fun, it's colorful, and I should probably go find it and steal it back from my daughter's room even though I have no idea how to fold anything beyond a paper airplane.

This Anti-Chafe Balm For Comfortable Exercise

via: Amazon

My ladies without thigh gap, this product is for you! As a distance runner, sometimes chafing happens. I've tried just about every product on the market, but I keep coming back to the tried and true Body Glide. It's the only thing that consistently keeps chafing away during any run over a couple of miles long for this body. It's also great to have on hand for trips or any other circumstances where you might find yourself walking several miles at a time, so I never travel without it! Trust me on this one; you won't regret it.

These Toy Hammocks Keep Kid Stuff Neat

via: Amazon

Got kids? Got kids with a crap-ton of stuffed animals? Then you probably need at least a 2-pack of these Toy Storage Hammocks. When we were looking for a solution to the stuffed animal creep at our house, we decided that these were the best choice; they get the animals off of the floor and act as a sort of display at the same time. I also had one of these when I was a kid and if it's endured for this long, it's now a legacy item that all kids should have in their rooms. Cheap, simple, functional, and tidy are the reasons that this toy storage option is a winner.

This Cotton Ball Dispenser Is So Adorable

via: Amazon

Guys, it's a rabbit with cotton balls for a tail! The Ceramic Bunny Cotton Ball Holder was the final item I didn't know I needed to make my bathroom complete. Can you think of a better way to store cotton balls than by making them come out of a rabbit's behind? It's the perfect way to get that little extra dose of fluff in your life.

This Eyeshadow Is The Bomb

via: Amazon

Let's relive the early 2000s in makeup form! Seriously, though, the Maybelline New York Eyestudio ColorTattoo Crayon in Crystal Grey is a staple in my makeup stash. I use it as a sort of eyeshadow primer; put this sucker on your eyelids and then frost away with your favorite shimmery eyeshadow for all-day (or all-night!) wear. It actually works better than most professional eyeshadow primers to keep that shadow in place and it has color and shimmer to boot! You can also get it in more subtle colors, like Barely Beige if you want something a little less blingy.

This Toilet Paper Holder Is A Lifesaver

via: Amazon

Ever go into the bathroom with your phone and have no idea what to do with it? You can't really put it into the sad pockets on lady jeans, after all. So I made my husband install this Neater Nest Toilet Paper Holder with Phone Shelf in our master bathroom. It's basically one of those things you didn't know you needed until you had it and realized what you were missing. The phone is safe and sound and nearby just in case (you all know you use it in the bathroom, stop kidding yourself.)

This Nic Cage Pillow Is Such A Versatile Gift

via: Amazon

Yes, I have this pillow. Why on earth would you want a Nicholas Cage mermaid sequin pillow? WHY WOULDN'T YOU? It's a surefire way to win at all the gift giving in your life. Birthdays? Check. Holidays? You betcha. Weddings? Why not! It's so much fun to flip the sequins forward and back to make Nicholas appear and disappear magically, I could do it all day!

This Face Cream with SPF For All My Pale Ladies

via: Amazon

Pale AF? Need a moisturizer with sunscreen because if you even look out a window on a sunny day you get a sweet burn? This Eucerin Daily Protection Face Lotion with SPF 30 will keep your face soft and protected from the sun's death rays. I love that it's a fraction of the cost of fancy brands that do the same thing, it feels like I'm getting away with a huge steal!

This Fun Shower Curtain Livens Up My Kids' Bathroom

via: Amazon

We bought the Sharp Shirter Cats Riding Sharks shower curtain for my kids' bathroom because it's durable, opaque, and it has CATS RIDING SHARKS. It's basically the perfect blend of both of my children encapsulated in one bathroom item. It's a pretty basic shower curtain as far as shower curtains go, but really, what more do you need from a giant curtain that hangs in the tub to keep water from escaping all over the bathroom floor?

This Cat Door Is So Handy

via: Amazon

We have an unfinished room in our basement that houses the cat's litter box and food bowl. In order to make the room accessible without allowing the dog to enter and look for treats in the litter box, we had to find a workable solution. Enter The KittyPass Interior Cat Door. We actually installed this in the wall, not the door, as we figure it will be easier to patch up the wall should we decide to ever relocate the cat (our ourselves) and it works great! It's the perfect size for your feline friend and it looks cute to boot.

This Mini Drone Is Enormously Fun

via: Amazon

This little REALACC H36 Mini Quadcopter Drone is a lot of fun for the kids and adults. The connection between the remote control and the drone is flawless and it's a great activity for a non-windy day. It can be flown indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between. Just don't fly your drone into a tree because it will hit the branches in your neighbor's yard and you will lose it forever. Ask me how I know. (That was a sad day.)

This Savory Seasoning Kicks Up Taco Night

via: Amazon

True Lime Garlic and Cilantro seasoning is a MUST if you like making white people chicken tacos. Throw some chicken in a crock pot with some green salsa, season liberally with cumin, chili powder, and this sweet little concoction, cook until it falls apart and you have yourself completely non-authentic taco filling that tastes pretty dang good on a store-bought flour tortilla with some cheese and sour cream.

This Dog Hoodie Keeps Your BFF Warm

via: Amazon

If your dog is basic AF like mine, they deserve a Zack & Zoey Basic Hoodie for dogs. As soon as it even hints at getting cold outside, you'd better believe we dress our pup up in her soft purple hoodie. She looks really adorable and although she can't talk and tell me, I imagine that she stays nice and toasty in her hoodie.

This Stud Finder is a Must For DIY Home Stuff

via: Amazon

A CH Hanson Magnetic Stud Finder makes hanging pesky things that actually need some support much, much easier. I've used this baby to help me install wall-mounted guitar hangers and a running medal rack on my office walls. I know my husband uses it for all kinds of handyman-type stuff, but I try not to get too involved in any of that.

This Card Game Is Always Fun

via: Amazon

Snappy Dressers is the card game that we consistently come back to time and time again. It's really quick and easy to learn and you can actually play it several different ways, so if you're feeling adventurous, it's simple to switch things up and try something new. We can play a game with just myself and my daughter or bring in the whole family for some card-slap-down fun.

This Ear & Nose Hair Trimmer Is A Necessity For Guys

via: Amazon

I bought this Panasonic Nose & Ear Hair Trimmer as a gift for my husband several years ago (because I'm sentimental like that.) Last night he was using it and said 'I really like this thing,' so it gets a ringing endorsement from the person in the house with enough nose hair to need a nose hair trimmer. If you find yourself with hairy ears or nostrils, this inexpensive trimmer does the trick!

This Children's Book Is Gorgeous

via: Amazon

Emily Winifred Martin, better known as The Black Apple, draws the dreamiest works of art. "Dream Animals: A Bedtime Journey" is her debut book. The illustrations are gorgeous and I may have purchased this book more for myself than for any child as it's survived several bedroom purges and I won't let the kids get rid of it even though they are now knocking down puberty's door.

This Ninja Blender For Busy Mornings

via: Amazon

Breakfast smoothies are one of the great necessities of the working masses. Quick, easy, and usually pretty nutritious, portable/drinkable breakfasts are absolutely the way to go. This Ninja Bullet Blender gets used every morning in our house as most days at least two of the four people in my household make smoothies for breakfast. It's great that you can make them individually because my husband can't stand bananas and, well, bananas are pretty much the base of a perfect breakfast smoothie. We all get what we like and we get it fast and well-blended (no one likes a chunky smoothie.)

These Sharpies For Labeling ALL THE THINGS

via: Amazon

If you're a parent that is constantly having to label your kids' things, you definitely need a whole crap ton of Sharpies in every color imaginable. I purchased these and keep them hidden in my home office closet so that the kids won't steal them from me. It's sort of like the adult version of getting a new pack of crayons and Sharpies are definitely some of the most quality permanent markers on the planet. They are great for everything and when you write your name on your kid's new lunchbox (because they lost their previous three lunchboxes already this school year!), you can rest assured knowing that their name won't rub off even if this lunchbox ends up left on the playground and disappears forever, AGAIN, in a couple of weeks.

This Puzzle Is Tricky Fun

via: Amazon

THIS IS A HARD PUZZLE. This puzzle is the one that takes at least a couple of weeks to finish will all hands working on it nightly for an hour or two. In spite of that, it's also a really awesome puzzle of the 'lovable' cats from Exploding Kittens playing hungry hippos, so it's just about the best puzzle art you'll find anywhere (who designs puzzle art, anyway?) If you're stuck at home with the kids all summer, you might as well make them work on a puzzle and you really can't go wrong with this one.

This Dinosaur Lamp Is Awesome

via: Amazon

It's a spiny boy lamp! This is the one thing I asked for this past year for Christmas. I got it, and it just completes the shelves in my home office. Who doesn't want a light-up dinosaur to glow up their world? We all know Stegosaurus was the OG best dino and now, as a grown ass adult, I can have a dinosaur lamp of my very own.

This Face Cream Is Really Hydrating

via: Amazon

As an aging adult woman (AHEM), the internet convinced me that I need a skincare routine. I researched a ton of different options as far as a nightly moisturizer; there's a huge range of options at all price points. I ultimately settled on this Neutrogena HydroBoost Daily Face Moisturizer because the price point was right and it had excellent reviews. And wouldn't you know it, the reviews were right! This stuff is really impressive. I live in a dry climate and have very delicate skin that soaks up any sort of lotion I use and this keeps my face comfortable and smooth. The hydration is real and you'll feel good not dropping $60+ on some miracle cream that doesn't work. It's good stuff.

These Washing Machine Cleaning Tablets Because You Just Have To

via: Amazon

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you need to clean your washing machine. These Affresh washing machine cleaning tablets do a great job of cleaning all of the gunk that builds up over time in your beloved clothes washer. Trust me, do your washing machine a solid and run a cycle with a cleaning tablet every now and again.

This Muscle Roller Stick For Kinks

via: Amazon

As someone who is reasonably physically active, a muscle roller is a must. Your legs will thank you for taking care of them. After a good stretch, use this muscle roller stick to work out the kinks in your legs and you'll definitely notice a difference. But the best part? Unlike a foam roller, you can lie in bed and use the stick so you don't even have to get on the floor. That's a pro tip!
