37 Products With Satisfyingly Gross Review Photos

They say that a picture is worth 1,000 words, but they never specify exactly what those words are. In this case, the words might be, "disgusting," "grotesque," and "downright gnarly" (along with 997 other words that mean more or less the same thing).

Before buying anything on Amazon, I always make it a point to check out the reviews to get an idea of what I can actually expect from my purchase. Good reviews have a picture of the product in action. The best reviews have pictures of the product in action...that are also pretty gross. Whether it's a photo of dead skin peeling from a foot, or a bunch of dead flies caught in a trap, you can always count on Amazon reviewers to provide the most informative images, even if they are a bit stomach-churning at times.

This Blackhead Mask Will Empty out Your Pores

via: Amazon/Zuleima Flores

All you have to do is apply this mask to your skin and let it dry (it takes between 15 and 25 minutes). Once it’s dry, carefully peel it off your face…along with any gross gunk that’s been hanging out in your pores. It kind of hurts…and it’s kind of disgusting, but it’s totally addicting all the same. People seriously swear by this stuff; it has more than 2,500 Amazon reviews — including the one that brought us this photo.

This Blackhead Vacuum Literally Sucks Gunk out of Your Face

via: Amazon/Christina

Yes, it’s a little gross. But it’s also kind of mesmerizing in a way. The blackhead vacuum has five different intensity levels which can be used to suck out blackheads, acne, pimples, and grease from your pores. It’s made from non-toxic ABS material that is gentle on your skin and comes with four different probes for a variety of uses. It’s also totally portable and conveniently rechargeable!

These Sticky Traps Will Put an End to Garden Pests

via: Amazon/Light

Everyone loves enjoying houseplants — including the little critters that you would rather not provide with free housing. In order to keep pests away, all you have to do is pop a couple of these sticky stakes into your potted plant. The adhesive on the strips attracts and traps white flies, fungus gnats, thrips, fruit flies, midges, black flies, and other creepy crawly buddies you don't want living in your plant. And, as you can see from this photo, they're pretty darn effective.

These Disposable Fly Traps Almost Work Too Well

via: Amazon/Elwood K

Do yourself a favor and don't look too closely at that photo. It's exactly what you think it is, but you're probably better off not looking at it for too long, lest it cause any trauma. When you use these fly traps, you never have to touch the bait or the flies themselves. Just hang it up and let it do its thing — which is attracting thousands of flies and trapping them in the bag.

This Foot Peel Is Totally Gnarly and Totally Effective

via: Amazon/PCO17

In order to use this foot peel, you just put the plastic “socks" on and wear them for about an hour. Take them off, and rinse your foot. Over the course of the next few days, your dead skin will literally start to slough off, revealing the baby-soft skin underneath. And I do really mean “slough off." It’s kind of amazing and also pretty disturbing. But ultimately worth it.

This Foot File Is for Heavy Duty Jobs

via: Amazon/RDUMan

OK, I know what you’re thinking. You've seen plenty of foot files in the world and were all like, “Bah! That little thing might work for normal-footed people, but I’ve got calluses on my heels that could drive in a nail!" Don’t you worry. You can take care of them in about 5 minutes. This foot file has a huge surface area and it literally shaves calluses and dead skin from your feet with a basic back-and-forth motion (much like you’d use to, ah, grate a hard cheese). If you’re still not convinced, read through the glowing reviews.

Unclog Your Drains with a Drain Snake

via: Amazon/TrueAggie

Sorry for this image. I know nobody wants to see a giant hair clog. All you have to do is put the Zip-It down the drain, wiggle it around a bit, and then give it a yank. Oh, and you’ll probably want to prepare yourself for the vile mess you’re about to bring from the depths of the sewers. I can’t promise you that you’ll like what you see, but you will enjoy the results!

These Pimple Patches Suck the Gross Stuff Right Outta Ya

via: Amazon/Erika Livingston

When you put these patches on your face, they look basically like Band-Aids. The white spots you see in the picture up there? Yeah, that’s all the gross gunky stuff they pulled out of various zits. These things are super popular — they have nearly 3,000 reviews on Amazon! As a result of these patches sucking up all that gunk, the pimples become flatter and less noticeable. Pretty clever, huh?

This Nose Wax Will Get Rid of Those Pesky Nasal Hairs

via: Amazon/Tony Pham

Sick of having tiny nose hairs peek out from your nostril to greet all of your friends? Then get rid of ’em! Shaving is certainly an option, but as we’ve already covered, going to the root of the problem and removing the entire hair is a much longer-lasting solution. The applicator that comes with this nose hair waxing kit is specially designed to only contact and remove the hairs that might be visible. It keeps all the important nose hairs that you’re supposed to have right where they are.

If You Have Long Hair, You Should Also Have a TubShroom

via: Amazon/Aaron Morlock

Nobody knows exactly how it happens, but if you have long hair, you’ve undoubtedly wound up with a gigantic clump of hair in your shower drain. It’s inconvenient, gross, and pretty tricky to get rid of. If you want to eliminate those clogs, the TubShroom is a great first step. It fits in any standard tub drain hole and catches hair — of any length — before it goes down the drain. I like that it keeps the hair hidden, too, unlike those drain covers made out of metal screens.

This Exfoliating Mitt Works All over Your Body

via: Amazon/TandP

This mitt reveals soft, smooth, and younger looking skin after just a single use — and it doesn’t require any harmful chemicals or soaking to do it! Simply place the mitt on your hand and begin rubbing your skin. In seconds, you’ll see dry skin and other impurities begin to rub off from your body. All you need is some water and a few minutes of your time.

This Air Purifier Will Make You Breathe Easier

via: Amazon/Patrick

This thing does not mess around when it comes to purifying air — and the reviews don't mess around either! It has more than 8,000 of 'em, many with wild photos like this one. The GermGuardian features a HEPA filter that captures 99.97 percent of dust and allergens as small as .3 microns. That includes dust, pet dander, mold spores, and plant pollen. It will make your air cleaner and safer for you and all your family members.

These Food Pads Are Great to Use After a Long, Tiring Day

via: Amazon/Rachel Anschuetz

Your poor feet go through so much in an average day; why not give them a little bit of relief once you get home? These foot pads are infused with bamboo vinegar, along with other ingredients such as dokudami and loquat. All you have to do is clean your feet and position one of these patches on each foot. You can sleep with them on and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on a brand new day.

If Your Baby Has a Stuffed Nose, The NoseFrida Is Your Best Bet

via: Amazon/Caroline Ahn

(Believe it or not, this is actually the least gnarly photo in the customer reviews for this product. Check them out if you want to be EXTRA grossed out.) OK. What I’m about to say may seem kinda gross, but I’m telling you, people — this thing works. Rather than using that obnoxious blue bulb squirter of doom (which I’m sure your baby hates with a fiery passion), the NoseFrida works in seconds to remove all that goop from their precious baby nostrils. All you have to do is suck on it. No, I’m not kidding. But there’s a filter and a super long hose and there’s no way for anything gross to end up in your mouth, I swear. Once again, read the reviews if you need further convincing.

This Hair Brush Cleaning Comb Makes Quick Work of Hairy Brushes

via: Amazon/D.V.

It seems like every time I look at my hairbrush, I find that it's coated with a fresh layer of old hair that's gonna take forever to clean out. I don't really know how it happens. What I do know is that a little tool like this one would make the task of cleaning out hairbrushes much easier. It's designed specifically to fit between all of the bristles and easily remove the matted-on hair from your brush or comb. Judging by the sizable hairballs in this picture, I'm gonna go ahead and say it works.

The Smart Swab Removes Ear Wax with a Twist of the Wrist

via: Amazon/Amazon Customer

You're looking at a spiral-shaped ear wax removal tool...as well as a glob of actual ear wax that was removed from an actual human ear using said tool (I hope you're not eating while reading this list). The Smart Swab features a flexible spiraled end that you can gently insert into your ear canal in order to remove built-up ear wax. All you have to do is twirl the Smart Swab, and the ear wax will basically be augered from your ear.

This Lint Roller Works Like a Charm

via: Amazon/Federica

The best part is that it's endlessly reusable — you don't have to keep buying refill rolls of sticky paper! Instead, this pet hair remover uses a brush that somehow is able to trap all the pet hair in just a matter of seconds. Once you've cleaned up all the hair, simply press the button on the handle to open the chamber and remove your new furry friend (all the fur, that is). I've never seen a lint roller with as many good reviews as this one has — it's boasting more than 2,000!

This Seaweed Bath May Look Gross, But It'll Make You Feel Great

via: Amazon/Lincoln

Have you ever wondered why Princess Ariel had such perfect skin? It probably has something to do with all the seaweed in the ocean she was swimming around in. This detoxing bath is made with only one ingredient: organic bladderwrack seaweed. It contains 65+ vitamins and minerals that help to both restore and calm skin. All you have to do is add some seaweed to the included mesh bag and place it into your bathwater (or just dump the seaweed right in!).

This Tongue Scraper Makes Bad Breath a Thing of the Past

via: Amazon/B-lo

In case you couldn't tell, this is a before-and-after image of what it's like to use a tongue scraper. You can brush your teeth all you want (and you should!), but your tongue is actually a main source of bacteria that causes bad breath. Using your toothbrush on your tongue is a good start, but if you really wanna get that stinky gunk out of your mouth, you should opt for a tonge scraper like this one. With just a few scrapes, your tongue will be clean and your breath will be fresh!

These Gel Heel Sleeves Will Transform Your Dry, Cracked Heels

via: Amazon/Susan

If you suffer from dry, cracked heels, you've probably tried a bunch of different products to address the situation — but you might not have tried this one yet! These sleeves can be slipped onto your heels — once they're there, they'll start working their magic. Using SmartGel technology, the sleeves will release therapeutic oil and vitamins directly onto your skin where it needs them the most. After regular use, you'll start to notice a real difference. The above photo is actually after a single use!

These Waxing Strips Will Get Rid of Unwanted Facial Hair

via: Amazon/RCKramer

Whether you're getting your eyebrows on fleek, keeping your chin baby smooth or removing the stubborn ol' 'stache, these facial wax strips work like a charm. They're even suitable for use on people with sensitive skin and in delicate facial areas. Just rub the strips to warm up the wax, apply the strip to the area of your choosing, and quickly remove the strip. It'll hurt a bit, but hey. Beauty is pain.

This Teeth-Whitening Charcoal Turns Your Teeth Black...and Then White

via: Amazon/Antonia Fitz-Randolph

You’ve probably seen something like this on Instagram, right? The idea is that the charcoal pulls stains off your teeth through a process called “adsorption." All you have to do is wet your toothbrush and dip it in the charcoal powder, then brush your teeth like normal for a couple minutes before spitting and rinsing. With regular use, the activated coconut charcoal will whiten your teeth without the use of harsh peroxides. And don’t worry — it’s vanilla mint-flavored! It won’t taste like your chomping on coal briquets.

This Makeup Brush Cleaner Mat Makes Cleaning Your Brushes Less of a Chore

via: Amazon/Renee

Chances are you're not cleaning your makeup brushes nearly often enough. I get it. I'm not either. That's because it takes forever and I never feel like I'm able to scrub the entire brush. This mat is covered with a bunch of bumpy textures to make scrubbing your brushes easier than ever. Simply stick it to the inside of your sink, add some cleanser, and go crazy running your brushes all over it. It basically does the scrubbing for you.

This FurRemover Broom Is a Must for Pet Owners

via: Amazon/Grace

That's right; it's another great tool for removing pet hair! Goodness knows you can probably use all the help you can get in that department. This broom's rubber bristles magically pick up fur from all sorts of surfaces — even carpet! But it doesn't stop there. Since the entire broom head is made of rubber, it's also great for squeegee-ing liquid spills.

This Toilet Brush Gets into All the Nooks and Crannies

via: Amazon/Suz-Z-Q

Most toilet brushes feature the familiar domed shape and just kind of leave it up to you to figure out how to scrub every part of the toilet. Not the Mr. Siga brush. First of all, its bristles are soft, which make them better at scrubbing and actually removing stains and dirt. There's also a special under-rim brush built right into the tool that allows for you to scrub, well, under the rim. It's kind of amazing that other brushes haven't caught up to this one, honestly.

This Deshedding Glove Works Like a Dream

via: Amazon/KSLake

Look at all that hair! You could basically pulling an entire carpet off that thing! With this deshedding glove, you can easily remove your pet’s extra hair in one simple motion — all you have to do is pet them! Should be pretty easy, right? The glove provides your pet with a relaxing massage while also lifting away hair, dirt, and debris like a magnet.

This Mask Turns into Bubbles

via: Amazon/Stealth Squirrel

We all love a good face mask, right? Well, this is one of ’em. Also, just to be clear, this photo is obviously more satisfying than gross. I want to pop every single bubble! Spread it on your face and it just looks like gray mud. But after a few minutes, the mask will have transformed into thousands of teeny tiny bubbles all over your face! The bubbles give your face a gentle massage while the clay mud and charcoal powder remove makeup, dirt, and oils while also tightening your pores. You can also take some pretty amazing bubble selfies while you’re wearing it.

These Bottle Bright Tablets De-Gross-Ify Your Stainless Drinkware

via: Amazon

Who doesn't love a good-quality, stainless-steel water bottle? Not only do they look great, but they keep your drinks cold and they're durable as heck. The one major downside? They're almost impossible to clean with normal kitchen cleaning implements. That's where Bottle Bright comes in. Just toss one of these tablets into your bottle, along with some hot water. A few minutes later, all the crusted-on gunk that's in there will slough off, leaving your drinkware as spotless as the day you bought it.
